How To Clean Hat Bleach

Remove the hat from the soapy water and rinse it under a faucet of cold running water to wash off all the detergent.
How to clean hat bleach. Dampen a white or light colored cloth with water and a drop of detergent. Bleach stains on clothes are actually dye free area where bleach has removed the color from the fabric. As it s filling add a tablespoon of laundry detergent or oxiclean. Do not put the hat in the dryer. For a wool hat add a cap full of woolite to a gallon of cool or cold water.
Rub this underneath the hat s brim or the inside of the hat if it s made from the same material as the outside. Let the bleach water solution contact the surface for at least 5 minutes. Use unused portions of the cloth to wash individual sweat stains. Clean the hat s sweatband in the same way. Place the hat on a clean towel and pat it down until there is no more water dripping.
Apply 1 tablespoon of white vinegar onto each sweat stain and gently scrub until the stain is gone. Use detergent and water to clean a surface and then use bleach and water to disinfect it. To create a cleaning mixture for cotton straw or synthetic hats add 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide 1 tablespoon of non bleach soap and one scoop of baking soda or oxiclean white revive to a gallon of warm water. Mix cup of bleach with 1 gallonof water let plastic bath toys soakfor five minutes then rinse well. Dish soap can do in a pinch but detergent or a dedicated stain fighting treatment like oxiclean is stronger and works harder at getting the stains out of the hat s fibers.
Wash the hat using the hot water setting. Err on the side of cool versus hot. Then let it sit for 10 minutesbefore rinsing with warm water. Just add laundry detergent and one cup of bleach. Before you attempt any cleaning make sure the hat s colors won t run when washing.
Then rinse it off and air dry it. It can brighten colors. Fill a clean sink or bucket with warm water. After the hat has soaked gently scrub away any stains with an old toothbrush or a dish brush. Check the cloth for any staining from the hat.
