How to clean kitchen furniture. Dip a sponge into the dishwashing liquid mixture to saturate it. Push the cloth along the grain of the wood to remove stains and dirt. In a bucket mix equal parts vinegar and water. Start wiping the kitchen cabinets with the detergent mixture using a microfiber cloth then rinse with clean water and dry with a soft rag. Once your furniture is clean wipe a layer of wood polish on it to preserve the finish and add shine.
Soak a rag in the liquid wring it out so that it s damp but not soaked and wipe down your furniture. Use a dry soft cloth to buff away the cleaned area before moving on to a new section. Your wooden kitchen cabinets may look clean but over time they can develop a sticky film. You can use commercially prepared lemon oil. Rinse out the rag often to avoid spreading dirt and follow back after your work with a dry cloth.
You don t want to oversaturate the wood with the solution so don t press the sponge against the furniture too hard. Remove the paste with a damp cloth and then dry with a clean rag. Let the wax paste sit on the wooden surface for a few minutes before buffing it in with a clean microfiber cloth. Wring the sponge out to ensure that it s not dripping or overly wet and gently brush it over the furniture to clean the surface. You can also make a simple polish by mixing 1 cup of olive oil with 1 4 cup white vinegar.
Depending on your wood furniture you might need to apply some wax to protect it and help keep its shine. To eliminate it mix 1 part vegetable or coconut oil with 2 parts baking soda and rub on the cabinets. Using a cheesecloth apply a semi solid wax without silicone to the wood furniture. Dip a soft cloth into the furniture cleaner and apply a small amount to one section of the furniture. Deep clean and shine.
Discard any leftover cleaner to prevent the solution from going rancid.
