How To Modge Podge Eggs

How to modge podge eggs. Just keep adding paper and applying the mod podge. If a lid isn t available an egg carton works just as well. Once the eggs were dry i downloaded some clip art from the vintage moth cut it out and used mod podge to apply the clip art to the egg applying several coats allowing each to dry thoroughly in between. A lid can be used to help contain the egg. Spread on the mod podge place on the tissue paper spread more mod podge on top of the paper.
Tear tissue paper into approximately 2 to 3 inch pieces. Pour 1 8 cup of mod podge glue into the pie plate. I used a sponge brush and painted some mod podge on the egg and gently pressed the scrapbook paper over the mod podge. Make sure to firmly press your scrapbook paper around the egg to remove most of the wrinkles. Simmer for 20 minutes then remove from heat and allow to sit for one hour.
Cut coordinating raffia into approximately 24 inch pieces either 1 or 2 lengths. Add more as necessary mix a little water with glue to thin it out a bit but be careful not to make it too watery. I found it the easiest at this point to use your finger dipped in more mod podge to smooth out any wrinkles. Place a piece of the napkin over the mod podge and using your finger gently press down all edges against the mod podge.
